After we had done a large renovation for the owners, making a raised ranch into an exciting contemporary, they found a lovely spot overlooking a salt water pond in Westport.
It started out as just ”bumping out the kitchen” but led to almost every major wall being removed from the interior, opening up the spaces to the incredible views.
The house, a contemporized colonial, lacked detail and character. A shingle style design was planned. Due to the constraints of the property, most construction was towards the rear, however going through the welcoming new entry you are invited into a new world of beauty both inside and out.
